The world’s coming apart at the seams, We see it on the tube and in our dreams. We are severing our wrists, screaming, Breathing in this hostility.
The world is reflecting our desires, Fueling our needs, lighting our fires.
Smothering decency as she wails, To appease our queen rationale.
It lies within our eyes for some, Others need to kill for fun.
Bleach in the excess of the seas, Can’t wash away this hostility.
A friend to few, foe to most,
Solid as steel, shadow of a ghost.
Stealth as the night, loud as the ‘bang, We tried to refrain, we defended in vain. It speaks to you within your head, Sleeps beside you in your bed,
